Dermacare Skin Center Dubai is the first and one of the most specialized centers in the Middle East to diagnose and treat skin cancer. Around 1000 cases of melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancer were diagnosed at Dermacare in 2017 only. For 20 years of our existence with our expertise we treated more than 15 000 cases of skin cancer successfully.

Our success in detecting and diagnosing skin cancer in general and malignant melanoma in particular has remained unsurpassed over the years. At Dermacare, we run regular skin cancer awareness campaigns which has greatly increased the number of patients coming for their regular skin/mole checks. This in turn has enabled us to save many precious human lives by an early detection of a large number of malignant melanomas which was successfully treated and a total cure was achieved.

The majority of skin cancers are caused by sunburns, tanning and solarium. As a triggers could be repeated medical X-ray exposure, scarring from diseases, exposure to chemicals such as coal tar or arsenic, heredity. Fair skinned people are at a particularly high risk for developing skin cancer.

In 2015, 2162 people died from skin cancer in Australia, 1520 from melanoma and 642 from non-melanoma skin cancers.

• Use clothing to cover as much skin as possible.
• Slop on SPF 30 or higher sunscreen

• Slap on a hat
• Wear a broad-brimmed hat that covers your face, head, neck and ears.
• Seek shade
• Make use of trees or built shade or bring your own.
• Slide on some sunglasses
• Close-fitting wrap-around styles offer the best protection.
